All tree care services
We offer a range of tree pruning services to our residential and commercial customers. These aim to promote tree health, ensure safety, and improve the appearance of your outdoor areas. All pruning is completed with a focus on best practices in mind.
Crown thinning
Crown thinning enhances the tree’s appearance, promotes new growth, allows more light through the canopy of the tree, and reduces the risk of falling branches. The technique selectively removes smaller branches from the tree’s canopy, whilst also maintaining its shape and structure. We never remove more than 30 per cent of the tree’s leaves and branches.
Crown reduction
Crown reduction is ideal when a tree has outgrown its space, blocks sunlight, or interferes with utility wires. We’ll reduce its height and spread of the tree, improving its appearance, increasing sunlight, and ensuring safety. We can remove all the dead or diseased limbs whilst achieving a balanced crown.
Crown lifting
Crown lifting is a specialised pruning technique that enhances the functionality and safety of your trees. By carefully removing lower branches, we create more space beneath the canopy. This allows for increased light penetration, making it safer for people and vehicles to pass underneath and promoting healthier growth for plants below.
Deadwooding
Deadwooding removes dead or diseased branches from trees, improving their health and safety. This reduces the risk of falling limbs that can damage property or injure people. It also enhances the tree’s appearance and prevents the spread of diseases. Our arborists carefully remove deadwood to minimise damage.
Pollarding
Pollarding is a pruning method where upper branches of young trees are removed to encourage growth and to control size. This technique is suitable for certain species like willows and poplars. Regular pruning is essential to maintain the desired shape and ensure tree health. Only experienced arborists should perform pollarding.
Formative pruning
Formative pruning shapes young trees by selectively removing branches to encourage balanced growth and prevent future issues like weak branches and overcrowding. This early intervention ensures a strong and well-structured tree, improving its long-term health and appearance.
